A beta readers purpose is to read over a story and assist with things like grammar, spelling, plot, and characterization, not to force the author to change their plotline to their own tastes. Beta readers are supposed to help the author produce a quality story and prep it for release to the general public. Nothing more, nothing less. Before applying to join please keep these things in mind, you need to take them seriously and you need to be committed to assisting fanfiction authors create qulity stories to be read. Beta readers abusing their role will be removed.

Beta team members get perks, including their own @smfanfiction.net email address and their own private section on the forums.

All applicants are given a test fanfic to review and fix. Don't worry, it's not horribly difficult so long as you can spot out spelling and grammar errors, which is the point of being a beta reader. We just need to ensure that you can do what you say you can do. If you have any questions go to Beta Readers Central on the site forums, or send an email to SailorDraco.
